Raising a legend - Part 2 "He had a dream"

Now that Steve had decided to acquire John Frey’s old barn, He wanted to find the perfect home for her.  There had been many inquiries, but until late June of this year, none of them seemed “just right”.

8 words in the subject line of an e-mail and a dream scratched out on a piece of notebook paper was all it took to finally find a new home.

A man by the name of John Tatum was looking to break ground on the latest addition to “Cloudland Station”, his sprawling Mountain Getaway Resort Community.  John’s dream began in 2005 out of a desire to build a truly unique community where its members can renew themselves each time they visit by helping them rediscover the simpler things in life.

Nestled on the side of Lookout Mountain in Northwest Georgia, this expansive community is full of nature with a “back to basics” mentality in the architecture and amenities.  There are over 450 acres of natural beauty including babbling brooks, mountain lakes, hiking trails and more…the perfect home for John Frey’s barn.

Once re-constructed, the walls of the barn, so accustomed to hearing cows and chickens, will soon be hearing music and laughter as she takes on her new role as the “Celebration Barn” in the heart of Cloudland Station.

After many, many e-mails, photographs, and drawings, John Tatum’s brain child is finally coming to life!
