If you are breaking ground soon, why not be kind to the environment? You can easily build a "green" house using a reclaimed timber framed post and beam barn, and often do it for less money than you would pay for "new" construction. Not only are the materials time-strengthened, but the exposed beams display the character and history of its original era.
We are currently dismantling this 50' X 80' Hand Hewn, Primarily Oak Timber frame c.1895. The structure boasts an amzing 35' feet at the center ridge! Post and beams are hand pegged and feature Mortise & Tenon joinery. The dimensions can be easily modified to suit your project. As part of the price package, all components of this structure will be treated for infestation, pressure-washed and cleaned, and clearly labeled and identified. Reasonable modifications to the structure to fit your personal building plans can also be included -- please call to inquire. We do offer erection services for an additional fee; engineering and architectural services are also available.
You can see what a completed timber frame conversion looks like right here on my blog!
